Understanding Product Options
Product variations serve as the container for Product options. Where the variation for a product may be size, the options might be small, medium and large. Similarly, a product variation for finish might have configured options for matte, satin, semi-goss and glossy.
Remember that variations and options can be re-used across multiple products. For this reason, variations and options are associated to a product and are decoupled from product data. This means that variations and options are built separately from the product itself. This also allows you to modify and update child products quickly and easily.

Excluding Options:
Depending on the needs of your business, you may wish to exclude one or more options as you generate child products. This can be achieved using the include/exclude functionality.
