What are Attributes?

Attributes define the characteristics or qualities of a product, and can define how customers research a product and make buying decisions. These attributes can range from basic identifiers like color and size to more technical properties like processor speed or compatibility for electronic products. Attributes can be visible to customers in the storefront, where they help shoppers filter, sort, and search for products, or they can be hidden to support backend functions like SEO or product classification.

Defining Attributes

Remember that buyers tend to use natural language and descriptive words when searching for products. They want to quickly gather important information about their options and compare them before making a buying decisions. Be sure to keep this in mind when you are defining attributes for your products

Reusing Attributes

Attributes are reusable and customizable across multiple products. Because they are not tied to any specific product, this allows you to create dynamic product structures that are easily replicated across multiple product offerings.
