What are Price Books?

A Price Book is a collection of product prices associated with assigned SKUs, making it easy to create different pricing structures for various scenarios. Instead of attaching prices to your product data, Price Books allow you to create flexible pricing for different use cases, like retail versus wholesale, loyalty pricing, or flash sales.

This separation of pricing and products allows for better scalability, easier price management, and both more efficient, and effective targeting of customer segments.

Key Concept

Price Books allow you to create and manage different sets of prices for the same products under various conditions, helping to maintain pricing flexibility and make sure the right prices are presented to the right customers in the right context. |What this means: |Why this matters: | |---|---| |Flexible Pricing| A price book can have different prices for the same product based on scenarios such as promotions or customer segments.| |Currency Support| Price books can contain multiple currencies, allowing for multi-geo pricing.| |Catalog Association| Price books are assigned to specific catalogs, meaning the same product can have different prices in different catalogs.|
