How To Build Your Bundles
Whether you are using bundles in a traditional sense to build a fixed or dynamic bundle, or building more complex bundles of bundles, product assemblies or collections or as a builder/configurator tool for complex product requirements. the steps you'll take to achieve your bundle will be the same.
Bundles in Elastic Path are made up of bundle components. Components are made up of one or more product options. Components are what enable dynamic flexibility with bundling, allowing you to build configurable products that your shopper can use to customize their purchase. Each option within a component can represent a different product, attribute, or variation.
Within bundles and components, the options selected are what the shopper is buying. In the case of a fixed bundle, the shopper, in essence, selecting two 'options' that are pre-grouped into a single product. Similarly, with a dynamic bundle, the selected option or options are the item(s) the shopper is choosing to complete their bundle purchase.
